It's impossible not to fall in love with singer-songwriter Kerrie Angell when you see her onstage. Whether she's accompanying herself on piano or performing with her amazing live band, she is completely at home, charming audiences with her raw, emotionally-charged vocals and original songs. There is something so familiar about her delivery and something very fresh about her sound all at the same time. One thing is for sure, she's a seasoned performer with a down-to-earth approach to her music and creativity.

Having grown up in a musical family in Maylandsea, Essex. When watching her on a stage or listening to her recordings, it's obvious that she loves what she does. “My Dad sat me at the piano first, and I listened to him play for hours. I was hooked.” From there, she was determined to teach herself to play the piano and write her own songs. And she's succeeded. All the way to releasing her debut album ‘Saffron Street’.

Although her performance sound is primarily rock based, she delves into deeper production with the tracks on her album. "The album was very experimental and different from my acoustic roots, I had a lot of fun with it," she says. The title track of the album comes from writing or finishing most of the tracks from her office in Saffron Street, Farringdon . During that particular time, Kerrie was inspired to write the songs for the album, taking her listeners on an emotional journey with her.

Listen to any given track on the album, and it's easy to get a feel for Kerrie’s passionate, soulful style. It's easy to see that she means business. She puts all games aside and reaches into the core of human emotion and longing with her music. She has stories to tell and a voice that will be heard. "I write mostly from people in my life that inspire me, I wouldn't have much to write about without them so I'm thankful they are in my life” Kerrie says. Over the past few years she has worked with people who have influenced her taste in music and has seen her grow from the shy quiet girl with a love for music to a woman who isn't scared to show her passion for it in each song she writes.

She's tapping into something great and sticking out beautifully among today's female singer-songwriters.
